Kristin Nicol
Business Development Manager
After having worked in several clubs and pubs throughout Scotland Kristin joined G1 in 1998 as a Trainee Manager in the now infamous Babaza.
After moving rapidly through the ranks to GM Kristin ran Babaza taking it to it's peak before moving to Corinthian and opening Life club. Following on from this his skills were tested to the extremes carrying out the role of Support Manager where he managed almost all G1 venues at some point, looking after venues as diverse as community pubs and Aberdeen clubs one week then Arta and Corinthian the next.
This led to a natural progression to his current role of BDM, which he has held for 3 years. Over this time Kristin has looked after a number of units including hotels, restaurants, pubs, bars and clubs, and more recently taken over the gay sector of the company as well as mentoring some of the junior BDM's as they take their first steps into the job.
"Every day is a fresh challenge and every hour can require me to wear a different hat, I could be dealing with sound and light issues in a city centre night club one hour and the next checking bedrooms in one of our boutique hotels. I thoroughly enjoy every aspect of my job, and nothing gives me greater satisfation than seeing crowds of people enjoying themselves and knowing I played a part in making their night happen. It might be a cliche but I really do live to work, and it's been hard to get to where I am today, but this really is my perfect job"
Lynne Murray
Acting Payroll Manager
Lynne is a G1 stalwart, having been with the company for ten and a half years now. Her journey has been a long and interesting one, with many twists and turns along the way.
Having originally started as an Office Junior, this gave her a great insight into all the different areas of the company, from marketing to accounts. After a couple of years, Lynne progressed to Payroll Assistant , keeping that position for two and a half years, providing assistance to Income Control.
From there she took on the Income Assistant position which led to becoming the company's Income Controller for four years.
